ABOUT #ONITSHEAD

#ONITSHEAD is an annual campaign, aimed at breaking the stigma of mental health issues and suicide on World Suicide Prevention day, 10th September.

The campaign was created by Sherene Bryan, a Mental Wellbeing Advocate “on a mission to stay sane and help others do the same”.

The aim is to place the stigma of mental health & suicide ‘on its head’ by getting widespread social media engagement with the campaign and ultimately, empowering more people to talk.

Suicide is a subject very close to Sherene’s heart. At the tender age of 12, she was first to find her dad, who had taken his own life in the home where she grew up. She is now on a mission to share her story, inspire and empower others and increase awareness on mental health issues and suicide.
